A meetup of the Southampton Art society took place at the East (Andrews) park, in central Southampton, on the morning of 4th June 2024. The specific location was the rose garden, near the junction of New road and Above Bar Street. In the background can be seen some of the shops, some in scaffolding on the right hand side.
Painted on cardboard in oils, sized at 12 x 9.5".

Painted in late summer 2021 this landscape 'plein air' painting shows a view of St Andrews park in central Southampton, Hampshire in the UK. The famous rose garden is coming to the end of the season and the afternoon shadows becoming longer. In the background on the left is the recently opened John Hansard Gallery.

 Anime girl with roses - WIP stages

Stages of the girl's head anime styled artwork

A simple drawing of a girls head created in the 'anime' style. She is pictured in front of rose flowers.

The picture shows four stages of its creation, drawn in 'Auto sketchbook Pro'. In the first can be seen the initial drawing, drawn in quite a small file size dimensions. The second panel indicates basic colours added for all the main elements. Moving on to the third panel, the dimensions of the file have been enlarged so that the final result will be very sharp and suitable for printing. More details are painted in and the drawing is becoming more refined. Finally the finished illustration can be seen where all the elements are completed, being finely drawn and painted.

Created in January 2021 this simple illustration shows a head of an 'anime' styled pretty girl posed in front of some red roses. It was done in 'Auto Sketchbook Pro'. The illustration can be seen in clear and larger detail via this link.

Cute Mistress With Whip And Roses - digital painting

Created during December 2017, this digital illustration features a cute mistress character, dressed in a latex cat suit and armed with a long whip. She is styled with a nod to 'manga' design, and set upon a background made up wooden crosses, a tool of her trade and roses, beautiful flowers with an element of danger and pain!

The illustration was drawn and painted in 'Auto SketchBook pro' with final details and colour balance done in Photoshop to complete the image.
