Lady gothic vampire with pet during apocalypse - WIP stages

Lady gothic vampire with pet during apocalypse - WIP stages

WIP stages of the horror illustration
This dark fantasy vampire illustration was created during early spring 2020. It is digitally painted using 'SketchBook Pro' running on a Samsung tablet. This enables me to sketch out ideas quickly at a fairly low definition and work up a concept sketch. The first image shows the drawing as done on the tablet followed by the same drawing worked up in colour, again on the tablet. Once I am happy with the way it is progressing the file, which is stored as a 'layered' PSD file is then exported in to a W10 desktop computer running the same programme ( with extra functionality on the PC). The file size pixel dimensions are enlarged to 6000 x 4500px to provide a sharp illustration for output, if printed and in any case a detail picture will be the result, unlike if the image was kept at the original tablet image specifications. The final image shows the finished illustration, where the rough image has been repainted with finer details. Also it can be noted that more things have been added in to the composition, as in more creatures for example.

Lady gothic vampire with pet during apocalypse - digital illustration

Lady gothic vampire with pet during apocalypse - digital illustration

Digital illustration of vampire with pet artwork

After an apocalyptic event of some sort a different world is now offered. In a ruined church a tall, attractive female gothic vampire, dressed in black attire is having a stroll with her pet creature. It is on the end of a chain but happily resting while its mistress surveys the scene of devastation while enjoying the shade on her umbrella. The pair are not alone as in this strange world, with its dominant red, cloudy sky and barren landscape. There are a number of flying creatures in the air and other, land based ones are scurrying around the building ruins.
This illustration is painted digitally. It is initially painted on a tablet using 'Sketchbook Pro'. When it has been developed to a point the file is then exported to a larger computer where the image is enlarged are repainted to a much finer standard. It measures 6000 x 4500px and was done in early spring 2020.

Monday in Hell with Devil - digital painting

Monday in Hell with Devil - digital painting

digital illustration - Monday in Hell with Devil -

This digitally painted fantasy scene was created during March 2018. 'Auto Sketchbook Pro' was used initially to draw and paint the image using an Android tablet device. Once the work had been done to a certain level, the file was then exported to a w10 computer, and reworked at a higher resolution, to add and refine details. The software allows work to be created on different levels, rather than one drawing level. This file can the be exported in to Photoshop which reads the separate levels and allows final grading to take place on the image.
The illustration features a typical Monday in hell, with the usual processes of sacrifices to the devil. The chained humans are maneuvered in to position by large, dark, humanoid creatures who seem to enjoy their work! Flames are everywhere in this den surrounded by tall rock structures. On top of some of these are winged demons looking out for some fun. The activities of the day are controlled by the Devil itself, using a mind link to control his servants.
The illustration can be seen in greater detail here.

Monday in Hell with Devil - WIP stages
This composite image shows three stages of the creation of the 'Monday in Hell with Devil' image. It is painted digitally in 'Auto sketchbook Pro', initially on an android tablet to rough out the drawing as it panel one, and then apply some basic colour as in the second panel. After this stage the file is then exported on to a windows 10 computer, where the canvas is much enlarged and painting is continued, again using the same software. The final stage to completion is to then finish the artwork in photoshop for final details to be added and final colour grading.
The final image can be seen on this link.

Tony Blair in Hell with Devil and holding Weapons of Mass Destruction document

Tony Blair in Hell with Devil and holding Weapons of Mass Destruction document

This illustration, painted in photoshop, depicts Tony Blair, former UK Prime Minister in his future residence, Hell. The locations other main resident, the Devil, looks on happily as Mr Blair trots around, clutching his Government's 'Weapons of Mass Destruction' document, which as it now turns out was full of lies and resulted in many wasted deaths of British Service men on a war that had no foundation. The cave in Hell contains other inhabitants, hiding in the shadows and looking on, while the confused Mr Blair, clutching his melting crucifix and hoping he can hide behind his faith, realises he can't talk himself out of this one!
